School of Rock is undoubtedly one of the most beloved family films of the 2010s, starring Jack Black as struggling musician Dewey Finn who poses as a music teacher at a prestigious prep school to pay his rent.

Finn quickly exposes his students to the rock gods he idolises and, discovering he has plenty of musical talent at his disposal, wastes no time moulding them into a mind-blowing rock band.

While teaching his pint-sized prodigies what it truly means to rock out, Finn falls for the school's uptight headmistress, Miss Mullins, helping her to rediscover the wild child within.

School of Rock: The Musical has made waves since its theatrical debut in 2015, selling out shows worldwide and scoring an array of glowing reviews.

The show has previously been described as a "five-star triumph" by The Times and "the most enjoyable few hours money can buy" in The Daily Telegraph, while Jack Black himself exclaimed "I laughed, I cried, I rocked!" after seeing it for the first time.

School of Rock: The Musical is one of several huge stage productions coming to the Bristol Hippodrome in 2022, alongside hit shows like The Lion King, Les Miserables and Mamma Mia
