Another round trip of the sun - well done, folks. If you’re still at a loose end this NYE, worry not, for Bristol is host to a deluge of events celebrating the turn of another year, courtesy of the city’s best loved venues.

We understand Christmas is a busy time and pouring through listings can be incredibly time consuming. Hoping to ease this burden, we’ve curated a comprehensive list of events for you to browse.

No stone has been left unturned with a wide range of tastes accounted for. There is doubtless a celebration for you somewhere in this article.

All events listed will take place on Friday 31 December.

The Love Inn | 84 Stokes Croft, St Paul's, BS1 3QY

See in the new year with a selection of house, techno and garage with stalwarts of the LGBTQ+ party scene, Bitch, Please! This heady NYE event features Shy One making their Bristol debut alongside rising local star A for Alpha.

Residents Ellie Stokes and Zen Zero also feature on the bill, which sees the Chocolate City Sisters, Dominique Fleek and Carmen Monoxide host the celebration.

Please note that although this party is for everyone, the venue would prefer ticket owners to be Queer, friends of the community or an ally.

The Old England | 43 Bath Buildings, Montpellier, BS6 5PT

Cut The Mustard presents: NYE At The Pub. Tucked away in its Montpellier enclave, The Old England welcomes a selection of local DJs, including UK Bass linchpin Addison Groove. Expect feel-good ravey tunes and wiggly numbers for good measure. Tickets start at just £10 but only 150 are available, so act fast.

Crofter’s Rights | 117-119 Stokes Croft, Cotham, Bristol BS1 3RW

Back again with their first NYE party since 2019, Crofter’s Rights is on a simple mission: to finish the year in style. French Kiss and Bodywork have teamed up to present 14 hours of house, disco, electro, garage, and rave tunes across two rooms.

Accompanying the event’s organisers, Milly On Air brings a fun and unpredictable dancefloor mix to the night; Verrell plays all things low-end; whilst Concrete Jungyals bring their energy and positivity to the decks.

Cosies | 34 Portland Square, St Paul's, BS2 8RG

Portland Square staple Cosies is rounding out the year with Yardclash, a ‘vs’ formula pitting local legends and resident DJs against each other in light-hearted competition. Ring in the new year with a selection of drum 'n' bass and reggae and dub.

What’s more, punters arriving before 23:00 are automatically entered into a raffle. Winners get a round of shots on the house.

The Lanes | 22 Nelson St, BS1 2LE

A silly, stupid, Fat Lip party. Head to The Lanes this NYE and join some of the city’s finest rock DJs for a night of metal, pop, rock and punk. Live music will also fill the venue courtesy of We Struck Gold and Downcast from 19:00.

This one is sure to be sing-along and mosh pit central.

Lakota | 6 Upper York St, St Paul's, BS2 8QN

Lakota will host two NYE events, one in the main venue and another in Coroner’s Court. Melvo Baptiste headlines Viva La Disco in Coroner’s Court, a disco and house spectacular running from 20:00 until 05:00 New Year’s Day.

Across the courtyard in the main venue, Andy C, DJ Zinc and Harriet Jaxxon headline a drum ‘n’ bass, rave, and jungle spectacular courtesy of the teams at Lakota, Lost Horizon, Alternate and Wide Eyes. Catch a long list of acts from 20:00 to 05:00 New Year’s Day.

Mr Wolf’s | 32 St Nicholas St, BS1 1TG

Head to the BS1 venue in the heart of Bristol’s Old City for a night of funk & soul, Motown and disco on their hidden rooftop. Inspired by the iconic Studio 54, Mr Wolf’s is recreating the glitzy set-up of the Manhattan club, with a decked-out rooftop, casino, and club open from 19:00 until 02:00.

Secret location | Central Bristol

Just 5-minutes from Temple Meads, a never-before-used space plays host to a NYE night of drum ‘n’ bass and reggae & dub. Boasting 360-degree Void acoustic sound, breath-taking visuals and lighting, and a line-up including names such as Gardna and Frenetic, this party promises to be huge.

The city centre location will be kept under wraps until NYE, when ticket owners will receive an email letting them know where to go. Get tickets fast before they sell out!

Propyard | 39-46 Feeder Rd, BS2 0SE

House heads – this one's for you. Can U Jack? debuts at Bristol’s newest large venue in the biggest celebration of house music this NYE. Heavily inspired by the legendary dancefloor of Warehouse Project, Tobacco Dock and Printworks, Propyard’s party will include quality sound systems and an immersive light show.

Old Crown Courts | The Old Crown Courts, BS1 2AG

The BS1 venue not only marks the end of another year, but an era. Bristol Bridewell Complex NYE will be the last party hosted in the city centre space after 15 years as a nightlife favourite.

Head to the venue one last time for an all-night tribute to over a decade in operation, featuring a huge line-up of some of the biggest names in UK dance music.

The Gallimaufry | 26-28 Gloucester Rd, Bishopston, BS7 8AL

Two titans of the contemporary Bristol music scene come together here, as Gloucester Road linchpin The Gallimaufry welcomes a selection of local DJs hand-picked by Bristol-based label Worm Disco Club.

Having curated a line-up including Nathan Worm, Millie Mckee, Admin and Erratic Batting, expect an eclectic mix of danceable grooves.

Lost Horizon | 1-3 Elton St, St Jude's, BS2 9EH

Dance away the night to some of the finest uplifting funk, soul, disco and mowtown classics at Lost Horizon this NYE. Influenced by famous US TV show Soul Train, expect bright décor and dancefloor grooves from dusk till dawn!

The Louisiana | Wapping Rd, Bathurst Terrace, BS1 6UA

Ring in the new year at one of Bristol’s most legendary venues as they host a mix of bands and DJs in true Breakfast Records style. The line-up for this event is still under wraps, but expect punk, indie and folk curated by one of the city’s best-loved independent record labels.

Old Market Assembly | 25 West St, BS2 0DF

Covering a vast amount of sonic territory, Old Market Assembly’s ridiculous NYE celebration sees a selection of reggae, jazz, hip hop, funk, soul, afro, house, and drum & bass.

The Friendly Fire Band, Beatles Dub Club, TC & The Groove Family and Diplomats of Sound DJ Si Chai bring the tunes, with the venue limiting capacity to keep attendees comfortable.
