Wet leg are coming to The Louisiana in 2022

Posted on: 30 Nov 2021

The recently announced ambassadors for Independent Venues Week (IVW) 2022 will embark upon a short run of shows early in the new year.

Fast-rising duo Wet Leg will arrive in Bristol via The Louisiana on Thursday 3 February 2022 - the final leg of a five-date whistle-stop tour.

This rapid string of gigs sees the band take to the stage at five venues across the country in IVW's annual week-long event that champions independent spaces.

Grab presale tickets from IVW's website on December 1 2021, and general sale tickets from December 3 2021.

The announcement comes as the duo reveals that their self-titled debut album will be released via Domino in April 2022. Alongside the news of their first record, Wet Leg have released two new singles, 'Too Late Now' and 'Oh No'.

Having been friends since their college days, Rhiane Teasdale and Hester Chambers banded in 2018.

Released in 2021, the duo's first singles, 'Chaise Lounge' and 'Wet Dream', notched millions of streams on Spotify in a short space of time as the pair catapulted from relative obscurity to one of the fastest rising bands on the UK circuit.

Since these early releases, a buzz has followed everything Wet Leg have touched, with the pair winning over a loyal band of acolytes whilst becoming a BBC 6 Music staple along the way.

To catch the duo's punchy and fun brand of guitar music at The Louisiana this February, head to the band's website here, or head to IVW's webpage here.
