Crazy P to headline Breaking Bread's debut Dance Sunday party

Posted on: 03 Aug 2021

Expect more fine dining and smooth grooves on The Downs this weekend.

Breaking Bread have confirmed a lineup for the first edition of Dance Sunday, a new weekly event for the BS8 hospitality pop-up made possible by the government's recent removal of Covid-19 restrictions on nightlife venues.

Alongside Team Love co-founder Dave Harvey and frequent collaborator Christophe, the inimitable Crazy P collective will be taking care of headlining duties to complete a full night of carefree electronic music on The Downs this Sunday 8 August.

The Breaking Bread team have also announced a brand-new lunch menu for the Dance Sunday series, put together by Ben Harvey of Bianchis and Pasta Loco.

Opened initially in July 2020, Breaking Bread has been a hit with Bristolians in its first year, providing a unique dining experience for locals as well as a range of employment opportunities for the struggling hospitality industry.

Thousands visited the pop-up tipi village during its first stint, with a programme made up of guest kitchen takeovers, live music, live comedy, DJ residencies from local promoters and more.

Returning this year, the Breaking Bread team have unveiled a series of new additions to the complex, including refurbished events space The Pergola and brand-new restaurant concept Homegrown.

Now, following the UK government's nationwide removal of Covid-19 safety restrictions last month, Breaking Bread are launching their first full-scale events series, inviting a selection of renowned DJs and promoters to perform as part of weekly Dance Sundays.

Attendees can enjoy a specially-created lunch menu as part of the event before the music starts at 16:30. Across five courses, diners will be treated to a range of fresh, vibrant and locally-sourced dishes, with a full menu available to view here.

Tickets are available via Headfirst, and are bookable as Dancing only or Dining and Dancing packages, in groups of two, four or six people.
