The Louisiana announces half-day reopening celebration

Posted on: 30 Jul 2021

The event, featuring eight acts, will take place on Saturday 14 August.

To celebrate the end of long periods of forced closure and restrictive measures related to Covid-19, The Louisiana is hosting a re-opening event across two stages this summer.

The iconic venue has organised the half-day event to show their gratitude for the support live music has received over the course of the pandemic.

A statement reads: "The Louisiana Re-Opening Half day Free Entry Event is our way of saying thanks to everyone who have shown so much support to Live Music over the last 15 months."

The event represents a welcome shift from virtual gig going as punters will once again be able to get their musical kicks live in the flesh.

Bristol locals Langkamer feature on the downstairs stage alongside Belishas, Damefrisor and Haal. Milo's Planes, The Hypothetics, Rews and Flag Fen take charge of proceedings upstairs.

Sets will be kept short and sweet, with all but one lasting just 30 mins. Stage rotation also means there's no need to fret over clashes.

Tickets for this event are first come first serve, so don't hang around. Find them here.
