Posted on: 07 Jun 2021

Tickets are on sale now for the refurbished venue's first live event since March 2020.

Iconic Bristol venue The Fleece is set to make its long-awaited return this month, hosting Bristol-based outfit and venue regulars The Blue Aeroplanes to perform live on Monday 21 June.

Forced to remain closed for the entirety of the pandemic, The Fleece has undergone extensive renovations over the past year, but will be able to welcome fans back through its doors in line with the latest government coronavirus guidance.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be found here.

Having emerged in Bristol in the early 1980s, The Blue Aeroplanes have gone on to find widespread success across the UK and internationally, releasing twelve full-length studio albums along the way.

The band are a firm fixture on their hometown music scene, performing annually at the Fiddlers Club for a number of years before moving their slot to The Fleece in the mid-2010s.

Chris Sharp, owner of The Fleece, is the bassist for The Blue Aeroplanes, making them the perfect choice to headline the venue's first live performance in well over a year.

Despite being among Bristol's best-loved live venues, The Fleece have been unable to host socially-distanced or outdoor events through the pandemic, with the team opting instead to refurbish their performance area in time for returning crowds.

Tickets for The Blue Aeroplanes live, taking place at The Fleece on Monday 21 June, are on sale now and can be found here. Under current guidelines, the event is expected to be able to go ahead with no restrictions in place.
