The Super Supper Club is currently feeding hundreds of families every week in BS5.

The team behind local young people's charity Baggator have issued a fresh appeal for support for their Super Supper Club project, currently on the lookout for volunteer drivers to collect and deliver donated food supplies.

Launched in response to the coronavirus crisis, Super Supper Club gathers surplus food from Bristol supermarkets before sorting it, prepping it and cooking it into delicious, nutritious meals for the local community.

The scheme currently supports hundreds of families every week, an increasing number of people falling on hard times as a result of the ongoing pandemic.

Collecting donations from M&S, Lidl and Aldi as well as popular local businesses like Pak Butchers and Bristol Sweet Mart, Super Supper Club have served up a wide range of creative, healthy dishes for locals since getting underway in 2020.

Despite the loss of their only catering oven over the festive period, project leader Rachel Hodgson and her team have worked tirelessly to continue providing for people in need.

The Baggator kitchen is now back up and running with a new oven after a successful crowdfunding campaign, running every Wednesday evening in BS5.

Those interested in volunteering as a driver for the Super Supper Club project can find out more about the role by getting in touch with Baggator via email.
