The Louisiana and Exchange team up to launch collaborative Patreon fundraising pagePosted on: 09 Feb 2021
Access exclusive tickets, merchandise discounts and more in support of two iconic Bristol venues.
Owners of The Louisiana and Exchange have come together to launch a joint Patreon page, encouraging locals and supporters to commit to monthly donations to safeguard both venues amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Unveiled yesterday (Monday 8 February), the page allows users to set up monthly subscriptions of £3, £7 or £20 a month, in turn gaining access to a range of benefits, from discounts on merchandise to early access tickets.
With both venues expected to remain closed for the coming weeks as the pandemic wears on, your support could be vital in ensuring they're able to reopen once it's safe to do so.

Both integral parts of Bristol's grassroots music scene, The Louisiana and Exchange are still facing uncertain futures despite receiving support from the government's Cultural Recovery Fund late last year.
The two venues have each hosted their own live-streamed gig series' at various points through the pandemic, but the continued absence of live programming is putting a huge strain on their ability to operate.
Through their new Patreon page, you can sign up as an Opening Act (£3/month), Main Support (£7/month) or Headliner (£20) to help secure each venue's respective future.
Never done a @Patreon before but looked into this as this involves the two best venues in the city— Will Oulton (He/Him) (@williamoulton) February 9, 2021

While the base £3 subscription doesn't offer any rewards (aside from "an enormous sense of wellbeing"), small donations have proved vital for businesses, charities and community organisations throughout the pandemic, and represent the most accessible way to contribute.
Signing up to monthly donations of £7 will grant you early ticket access at both venues as well as 20% off Exchange merch, while the £20 monthly subscription offers an additional 10% off at the Exchange bar and free access to any and all lockdown live streams from both venues.
The top-tier option also entitles subscribers to one free ticket at both The Louisiana and The Exchange every month once they've reopened, as well as free 'Friends of the Venue' tickets, redeemable at The Fleece, Bristol Beacon, Effigy, Deadpunk and 1%.
Outlining their mission statement, the venues explain: "We are opening this Patreon as a way for people who want, and are able, to support us directly, and for us to offer a whole host of rewards as a way of thanks!
"The coronavirus pandemic has brought our whole industry to its knees, and the knock on effects are likely to be seen for years to come.
"Every single penny raised will go directly back into allowing us to continue to survive and create opportunities and experiences for the Bristol independent music community."
