The side's current away shirt has been voted among the best in the country this year.

Bristol Rovers Women's special-edition 2020/21 away shirt has been officially inducted into the UK's National Football Museum collection, described as "vibrant and eye-catching" by its team of curators.

Designed and produced in partnership with Bristol Pride, the striking purple kit was voted the 9th-best in English football in 2020/21, placing above the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United.

Released late last year in time for the delayed start of the current season, the shirt is currently available to purchase here.

Speaking on the new addition to their collection, the National Football Museum team said: “The museum loved everything, from the Gas Girls’ club crest which features a female pirate to the link-up with Bristol Pride. This is a progressive women’s team who want to establish their own identity.

“The partnership with Bristol Pride is a great fit. Bristol Rovers Women spread the message of inclusion, diversity and community and Bristol Pride works towards equal rights and building a self-accepting and self-affirming community through school education, consultation, and the city’s Pride Festival.”

Bristol Rovers Women's Club Secretary, Matthew Davies, added: “It’s a huge honour for our shirt to be recognised by the National Football Museum in Manchester.

“Promoting community is a key area within our club culture and to know that this shirt has been received so well by fans, people within the football industry and those from the LGBTQ+ community, is amazing to hear.

“We’re looking forward to working with Bristol Pride on future projects and we will continue to strive to tackle homophobia and discrimination of any form.”

Bristol Rovers Women's 2020/21 away kit is back in stock but won't be around for long - get yours here. For more information on Bristol Pride, or to follow news and updates, head to their website.
