Explore more than 200 hundred festive displays to add some extra sparkle to Christmas this year.

Bristol residents have come together to build an interactive map showing locations of festive displays across Bristol and South Gloucestershire, inviting locals to explore eye-catching setups across the city this Christmas.

Divided into outdoor displays, lights, window displays, outdoor decorations and advent calendar, Christmas tree and star trails, the map allows users to discover displays nearby, providing details on the best times to visit each one.

After an incredibly difficult year in 2020 we could all do with some extra Christmas cheer this month, and it's now easier than ever to explore dazzling festive displays across the Westcountry during the buildup to the big day.

The over-200-strong list is made up of carefully-crafted home setups, community trails and intricate outdoor displays, as well as a few projects led by a selection of community organisations.

Explore the Frampton Cotterell Primary School Star Trail in BS36, follow a Tree Trail in Chipping Sodbury or try and tick off every stop on a festive Advent Calendar Trail in Fishponds as you count down to Christmas 2020.

There are plenty more displays to be added in the coming days, and if you've got a display of your own that you'd like to add to the map, join this Facebook group and post a photo or video.

Bristol local Natasha Wood, who collated the displays and produced this year's map, is currently taking donations to raise money for new equipment to help her and her family care for their daughter.

Find out more and consider leaving a tip here to say thanks for her work to produce a fantastic festive community resource.
