Basement 45 to reopen this weekend

The team behind Basement 45 have confirmed plans to reopen this weekend, as they get ready to host two socially-distanced evening sessions with music provided by renowned local DJs.
Tonight (Friday 25 September), resident DJs will spin a selection of house music in Room 2, before Hospital Records signee Keeno takes over for drum & bass set in the Main Room the following evening.
Tonight's session has completely sold out, but there are still spaces remaining for Saturday.
Tables of six are available to book via the Basement 45 Facebook page, with events running from 19:00-22:00 on Friday and Saturday night in line with new government guidelines regarding operating hours.
Closed since the beginning of lockdown due to limited indoor space and a lack of options regarding outside seating on Frogmore Street, Basement 45 has been sorely missed by club goers and artists in 2020.
One of Bristol's best-loved and longest-running clubs, owner Mark Davis has developed the venue into a hub for the local electronic music scene, regularly hosting some of the city's most exciting emerging acts and promoters.
In the absence of a regular events programme, Basement 45 has been hosting DJ lessons and practice sessions, allowing local DJs of all abilities to learn the ropes, improve their skills or just sharpen up post-lockdown.

Lessons run for an hour and can be carried out on a one-to-one basis, or as a small group (max. four people) provided all attendees are from the same household.
One-to-one lessons are available at £40 per person, or £20 per person for group bookings. Dates and times are flexible, and lessons can be adapted to cover all aspects of DJing, including beat matching, mixing, scratching, pitch control, looping, using EQ and more.
