Basement 45 launch lockdown live stream series

Posted on: 10 Jun 2020

Owner Mark Davis kicked off the new mix series over the weekend.

Basement 45 have launched a brand-new live-stream series on their Facebook page, set to feature a wide range of sounds and styles from a selection of guest DJs over the next few weeks.

Club owner Mark Davis got the ball rolling on Sunday, spinning 90s house as part of a 40-minute set live-streamed from his home studio.

Speaking in intervals, he explained that he'll be looking to continue the live-stream series over the next few weeks, bringing in some of the club's resident DJs and streaming a few sets from the club itself.

Featuring house, techno, drum & bass and much more, Mark added that he'll be looking to showcase "all kinds of genres" and "everything you'd expect to hear down at the club" in the coming weeks.

One of the city's longest-running club venues, Basement 45 has been a staple of Bristol's underground music scene for more than a decade. The club has hosted some of the world's top DJs over the years, including Skrillex, Jackmaster and Bristol local Eats Everything.

Now, though, the club is more focussed on local acts and labels, with revered up-and-comers regularly taking over for a wide range of parties and club nights.

For more information and updates once lockdown is lifted and the club is able to reopen, visit the Basement 45 website. Follow the all-new live-stream series on the club's Facebook page.
