Life Drawing and Live Magic | This week at The Cloak & DaggerPosted on: 17 Mar 2020
There's never been a better time to see what all the fuss is about at The Cloak & Dagger.
The Coronavirus may well be shutting down events left, right and centre, but the show must go on somewhere, and The Cloak & Dagger are ploughing ahead with another busy schedule.
See below for a full rundown of events at the Cheltenham Road bar this week, including a Life Drawing class, live Irish folk in celebration of St Patrick's Day, live magic and a drum & bass vinyl session.
United Models Life Drawing | Tuesday 17 March
Taking place in The Cloak & Dagger's downstairs 'Carousel Room', United Models Life Drawing is run by a collective of life models, with two members modelling each session.
Whether you're looking to sharpen your drawing skills or wanting to try out a new hobby, we'd recommend giving it a try with The Cloak & Dagger. The United Models team will be on hand to give advice and tips, and will be able to provide a small selection of basic materials. Classes run from 19:00 to 21:00 and cost £7 per person.
CANCELLED The Real Paddy's Day Thing | Tuesday 17 March
Bleuenn Shaw and The Acoustic Roadshow are back in Bristol on Tuesday night, playing live in celebration of St Patrick's Day. The four-piece group will be performing their full Roadshow in three sets, delivered alongside some classic Irish pub tales and, of course, trademark craic.
In these trying times, you shouldn't need much persuasion to get yourself down, let a bit loose and raise a glass to some top-notch live music.
Close-Up Magic | Saturday 21 March
Discover the very best The Cloak & Dagger has to offer in this one, as resident magician Magic Malka takes over the bar's mysterious downstairs space. Entry is free and cocktails will be in full flow, offering you a Saturday evening with a twist.
Host of the acclaimed Proper Beer, Proper Magic Shows, Magic Malka is sure to deliver a close-up show unlike any other you've seen before!
CANCELLED Back 2 Your Roots: Strictly Vinyl | Saturday 21 March
Back 2 Your Roots are back at The Cloak & Dagger on Saturday night, delivering a full night of vinyl D&B goodness from esteemed local DJs.
Expect killer sets from Spiller, Brenna, Lewi, Ramjack, Jakey D, Popze, Capital B, Ruption, Ruwdem and Scorpio from 21:00-01:00.
