Having performed unforgettable sets at some of the world's top venues and festivals during a career spanning more than four decades, Nile Rodgers & Chic are rightly regarded as one of the all-time great musical acts.

Since forming in the early 70s, the group have released a steady stream of timeless hits. If you're ever in search of the artist behind one of your favourite disco tracks, there's a very good chance it was written by Nile Rodgers and co.

Rodgers, himself a living legend in the music world having won three Grammy Awards and been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, is the driving force behind the band as a guitarist, singer-songwriter, composer, producer and ethereal live performer.

With Colston Hall still undergoing its extensive renovation, Chic's gig is one of several outdoor Colston Hall Presents performances scheduled for summer 2020.

After the success of Bristol Sounds 2019 that saw the likes of Tom Misch, Bloc Party and The Cinematic Orchestra perform at the open-air Lloyds Amphitheatre, you can bet the atmosphere will be special for this one as the venue gears up for another summer of unmissable gigs.

Tickets for Nile Rodgers & Chic live at the Lloyds Amphitheatre go on sale at 10:00 on Friday 28 February and can be found here. For more information or to follow updates, respond to the event's Facebook listing.
