Get ready to play with fire as Board Game Bud launch their latest project at a city centre favourite.

Bristol-based game makers Board Game Bud are gearing up for the launch of their latest project, the all-new board game, Tinderblox.

Tinderblox by Board Game Bud.

Few venues fit the bill for a game launch better than Chance and Counters, and the game's creators will be taking over the popular bar on Christmas Steps from 18:00 until 23:00 tonight (Tuesday 4 February) for a full evening of fun, fire and friendly competition.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to go along and catch a sneak peek at the game, share a drink with friends and finesse fire-making flair with a game or two.

So, what is Tinderblox?

The core concept of Tinderblox is simple: you stack small wooden cubes onto small wooden logs in a pile, carefully adding to the stack or removing pieces, all the while ensuring that your structure doesn't collapse.

It relies on a steady hand, a calm nerve and, of course, the ability to ignore the taunts of your competitors.

Tonight, the Board Game Bud team will also be showing off the innovative real-time dexterity game Kittin, made by Alley Cat Games. Both games are available to buy now via Kickstarter: get yours here.

Founded in March 2018, Board Game Bud was initially a place to showcase some of the incredible games that boss Rob had been playing at the time.

It quickly snowballed, and a mass-market publishing deal and several awards later, Board Game Bud is the authority when it comes to new and exciting board games... in Bristol, at least.

Don't miss the launch of their all-new game, Tinderblox, tonight at Chance and Counters. Chance and Counters is located: 20 Christmas Steps, BS1 5BS.
