Rough Trade Bristol in-store gigs: 5 top picks

Posted on: 13 Sep 2019

We all got a bit giddy when Rough Trade announced they would be setting up shop on Nelson Street.

Since the world-famous record store opened in Bristol during December 2017, the RT team has continued to impress with a quality schedule of in-store gigs and live signings.

And this autumn? We’re getting giddy all over again. Here’s five upcoming in-stores you can’t afford to miss.

Rough Trade Bristol

Metronomy | Saturday 14 September

Bristol loves Metronomy: they’re playing three shows here this autumn. (Two in one day at Rough Trade Bristol!)

The purveyors of ad-worthy synth-pop tracks, Metronomy will release their sixth album on 13 September: Metronomy Forever. Catch them the next day in Bristol.

Kefaya and Elaha Soroor | Monday 30 September

Musical innovation at its best: catch experimental instrumentalists Kefaya and Afghan pop vocalist at this free entry in-store later this month.

A new collaboration, the trio’s new album Songs Of Our Mothers explores Afghan folk through dub, electronica and jazz. It’s due for release 27 September.

Mystery Jets | Wednesday 2 October

Beloved indie outfit Mystery Jets will make their return later this month with a new album A Billion Heartbeats. Can it produce another hit like 2008’s Young Love? Get tickets here.

Pizzagirl | Monday 14 October

Glossy bedroom pop is the order of the day with Liverpool’s Pizzagirl. Retro, a bit ironic and loads of synth.

FEET | Sunday 20 October

Influenced by the likes of King Gizz, Parquet Courts and Pavement, we’re sure Bristol will like the sound of FEET.

Find Rough Trade Bristol at 3 New Bridewell, Nelson Street, BS1 2QD.
