Fireworks Displays in Bristol on New Years Eve 31.12.2016

2017 starts at 10am on Saturday morning Bristol time for those living in Samoa, Christmas Island and Kiribati before working its way towards us. No doubt all the news channels will be tuned into major fireworks displays welcoming in the New Year from cities across the globe with notable ones in Sydney at 1pm, Tokyo 3pm, Beijing 4pm, Moscow 9pm, Western Europe at 11pm and then of course London at midnight.
Unfortunately Bristol continues to miss a great opportunity to get the City together, if only there were some terrific venues such as Clifton Suspension Bridge or Durdham Downs to cater for a large fireworks display without them heading into the crowd as per Millennium Square last month!
In the meantime there are a few places bringing 2017 in with a bang in and around Bristol and here they are!

Tickets are £55 which includes a 3 course meal, casino, disco and the all important fireworks. A great place to view for those not inside will be from the suspension bridge or squeeze into the bar and onto the terrace! For more information call 0117 4030210.

The Black Swan in Easton will be taken over by Tribe of Frog on New Years Eve with Techno and Psytrance being the musical theme for the night. Tickets are £15 so check out Facebook link above. There will be fireworks though so if you are nearby you should be able to see them!

Under new management, The Crown Inn Keynsham will once again be hosting their free New Years Eve Firework Display. If you are not in the pub already for the evening then enter through the side door or check out what's going on from the rugby club car park across the road.
The Oxford Pub, 120-122 Oxford Street, Totterdown, BS3 4RL
Still a few tickets left for New Years Eve at The Oxford but we suggest you phone the pub if you want to get in to be sure on 0117 907 5845. There will be live music from Mike Dennis, Yes Man Jellyfish, Bare Knuckle Beatbox , Dj: Mako (mako & the hawk) as well as the obligatory fireworks of course at midnight. Open until 2am.

For those with a much larger budget, there will be a large display at Ston Easton Park but tickets are £100. It does include champagne, canapés and a black tie gala dinner as well though!
