A guide to Bristol New Year's Eve 2017 fireworks displays

Posted on: 21 Dec 2017

New Year's Eve celebrations aren't quite complete without a few fireworks to accompany the countdown. Of course, you could always rely on Uncle Joe's back garden display using fireworks that he bought off his mate round the corner, but if you don't fancy that, you've got options with some cracking displays at fantastic venues around Bristol. Below is a complete guide to fireworks displays in the city this New Year's Eve.

A huge fireworks display was held on Clifton Suspension Bridge in 2014 to mark the bridge's 150th Anniversary

The Oxford, Totterdown

The Oxford are hosting their own New Year's Eve celebrations this year, with live music from Troy Ellis and the Hail Jamaica Reggae Band, as well as a selection of DJ's to take you through to 2018. The night's festivities will of course be accompanied by The Oxford's very own fireworks display at midnight, and with tickets at just £10, we advise you to get in quickly to avoid disappointment. The bar will be open until 1.30am, so get down to The Oxford to see in the New Year with a great community vibe.

For ticket enquiries, contact The Oxford on 0117 907 5845.

The Crown Inn, Keynsham (SOLD OUT)

The Crown Inn's 2017 New Year's Eve party is unfortunately sold out, but it's definitely worth keeping in contact with the staff for any spare tickets closer to the date. The family event on the night of December 31st includes disco tunes all night, a buffet of pizzas, chips, sides and more and a fireworks display as the clock strikes midnight. Physical tickets for the event must be picked up from the venue, so don't give up hope yet if you didn't manage to get your name down in time.

The Farm, St Werberghs

For something a bit different this New Year's Eve, get yourself down to the farm in St Werberghs. Featuring inside and outside stages with DJ's and live music, a huge outside bar, light shows and projections, it promises to be an event to remember. Not only that, but the farm are showcasing a huge fireworks display at midnight! With sprinklings of Hip Hop, Dub, Roots, Afrobeat, Beatboxing and more, this one promises to be one of the best fireworks parties in the city this New Year's.
