One year until the return of Kinky Boots

Posted on: 07 May 2024

West End & Broadway musical favourite Kinky Boots is returning to The Bristol Hippodrome in 2025 for a brand new production with a star-studded cast.

Kinky Boots is back at the Hippodrome next week, from Tuesday 13 May 2025.

Kinky Boots is a musical guaranteed to “Raise You Up” (get it?). After inheriting his family’s failing shoe factory and with a relationship on the rocks, life is proving to be challenging for young Charlie Price.

That is until he meets Lola, a drag queen whose sparkle and unsteady heels might just hold the answer tosaving the struggling factory. Complete with a hit songbook from Cyndi Lauper that features such wildly popular favourites as ‘Sex Is In The Heel’, ‘Land Of Lola’, ‘Soul of a Man’ and ‘The History of Wrong Guys’.

Starring Strictly Come Dancing favourite (and recent visitor to Bristol) Johannes Radebe alongside rising star Dan Partridge, Kinky Boots is a joy-filled sensation based on a true story and hit movie. Now, Kinky Boots is back in Bristol for a week-long run – so put on your running boots to come and catch it! Kinky Boots will be running from Tuesday 13 May – Saturday 17 May 2025.

Produced by a wildly talented and prolfic creative team, KB features a hilarious and life-affirming book by Tony Award winner (and actor and producer) Harvey Fierstein and is directed by Nikolai Foster (Grease and An Officer and a Gentleman).

While evening shows are running through from Tuesday to Saturday, the show will also feature matinees on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday – although Johannes Radebe will reportedly not be performing in the midweek matinees, so if you’re a Strictly fan, we’d recommend booking a different day.

Kinky Boots will be at the Bristol Hippodrome 13-17 May 2025. For tickets, head to the link here.
