Legendary Irish folk quintet The Fureys are coming to Bristol next year for what will no doubt be an electrifying gig.

Hailing from Ireland, The Fureys have long been synonymous with the rich tapestry of Irish folk music. With their haunting melodies, poignant lyrics, and masterful instrumentation, this legendary band has captivated audiences around the world for many decades.

Formed in the late 1970s by brothers Finbar, Eddie, and Paul Furey, along with friend George Furey, The Fureys quickly rose to prominence with their unique blend of traditional Irish tunes and contemporary folk sensibilities. Their repertoire spans a wide range of emotions, from heartfelt ballads to lively jigs and reels, all delivered with unparalleled skill and authenticity.

At the heart of The Fureys' sound is their virtuoso musicianship. Finbar Furey's mastery of the uilleann pipes, flute, and whistle, combined with Eddie Furey's intricate guitar work and Paul Furey's dynamic bodhrán playing, creates a sonic landscape that is both evocative and exhilarating. Their harmonious vocal harmonies, often accompanied by tender storytelling, further enhance the emotional depth of their music.

Now, these mythical minstrels are visiting Bristol in a triumphant return – this time to the brand-new Beacon Hall at Bristol Beacon. The Fureys will be bringing their mesmerising musical performance to Bristol Beacon next year, Monday 31 March 2025.

It’s definitely a performance worth seeing. While the Fureys may be beloved for their classic albums like The Green Fields of France and Banshee, it’s known to all that the Fureys give electrifying live performances, and have toured with sold out shows across the world. In the grand setting of Beacon Hall, those enthralling performances can surely only be enhanced.

As mentioned, the Fureys will visit the Bristol Beacon next year, on Monday 31 March. Tickets are, as of today, now on sale – get yours at the Bristol Beacon website.
