The Easter Holidays can be an expensive time for families, with many of the Easter offerings costing money for entry - not to mention the cost of the chocolate eggs these days! Luckily, you don't need to spend a mint to have a joyful Easter, and we've put together an article to prove it! Here's our breakdown of some of the best free ways to spend your Easter!

 

Peter Rabbit Easter Trail at Woodlands

A totally free Easter activity for kids and their families, Peter Rabbit has hidden somewhere along Woodlands in Bradley Stoke! Can you find him?

If you manage to locate the tricksy little rabbit, you can scan the QR code he’s helpfully brought with him to learn a secret password. Then just head down to the Aspinline office between 9:30 and 17:30 to collect your FREE Peter Rabbit gift and bag of Cadbury’s Chocolate Buttons.

Zion's Spring Craft Fair & Easter Workshop

Get ready for a fun-filled day of crafts, workshops, and Easter excitement at Zion's Spring Craft Fair & Easter Workshop! Window shop at handmade craft stalls, join in with the free Easter egg hunt and join the drop-in Easter crafts workshops!

Windmill Hill City Farm

If you’re looking for an easily-accessible and family-friendly place to see springtime in action, Windmill Hill City Farm is a great option. This inner-city farm is a breath of fresh air, and with both animal-rearing and food growing ongoing at the working farm, visitors are sure to get a taste of all sides of spring – in more ways than one if you stop by their acclaimed cafe afterward.

A great place for a family walk, Snuff Mills is just a 15-minute car ride from central Bristol, and sees a path following the River Frome, with plenty of lush green woodland all around – a great place to check out some springtime life!

Making Waves: Mary Anning and her Astonishing Ichthyosaur

While it may not be the most Easter-themed activity, if you and your family are tired of all the rabbiting on, why not fill the Easter holidays with a little education on the creatures all kids love – dinosaurs! Okay, technically Ichthyosaurs are a distinct clade from dinosaurs but the point remains that children are fascinated by large extinct reptiles.
