St Patrick's Day is this weekend - here's where you need to be

The W.E. Irish Bristol St Patrick’s Day Parade 2024 is back and set to paint the town green! With Sunday, March 17th this weekend, it's time to embrace the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.

The West of England Irish, W.E. Irish (formerly known as the Bristol Irish Society) is pulling out all the stops to ensure this year's celebration is bigger and better than ever before. Last year's parade broke records, and now, they're aiming to top that triumph with an even grander spectacle – if such a thing could be possible!

The first-ever city-centre procession will weave through Bristol's streets, starting from M Shed at 1 pm, making its way to Queen’s Square for a mesmerizing showcase of Irish music and dance, and concluding at St. Nicks where the real festivities kick off.

But the fun doesn't stop there! As the sun sets, the celebration moves into high gear with an electrifying afterparty at the Glass Arcade and Revolution Bar. From Irish dancing performances by local schools to live music and folk singers, there’s something for everyone to revel in. Plus, the dedicated bars will be serving up Ireland’s finest liquid treasures – Guinness and Irish Whiskey!

There are also a number of Irish Fringe Fest events taking place in and around the day itself, including the Pubs, Potatoes, Giants & Geniuses story tour, and the Ceilidh with Shanvaghera.

The parade, and the afterparty for that matter, are fast approaching, taking place this Sunday, March 17. To make sure you score your tickets to the exclusive afterparty at the Glass Arcade and Revolution Bar, head here.

To dive deeper into the festivities, visit the W.E. Irish website or catch them on social media for all the craic-filled updates. It’s time to paint the town green and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in true Irish style!
