Here comes Bristol Comedy Garden 2024, as some of the biggest funnypeople in the UK come out to Queen Square to revel in the summer sun and crack some cracking jokes, just for the craic.

It’s a huge bill, full of some of the best comedy talent the country has to offer, so we’ve helpfully broken it down into bite-sized day chunks for you to find the comedians for you, on the day that you’re free.

Sunday has three shows, just to give you the maximum chance to see these excellent comedians. Each bill has five brilliant comics, led by a household name headlining!

 

Sunday Early - 1pm

Sunday Early is headlined by former Never Mind The Buzzcocks Host and writer-director of Benjamin and comedy vegan mockumentary Carnage, Simon Amstell. Fresh off his Netflix standup special ‘Set Free’, he’s ready to bring his soft yet acidic comedy to the Comedy Garden stage.

With Simon on the bill is the cult comic/poet and Alan Partridge star Tim Key, deadpan Australian and Taskmaster season 16 champ Sam Campbell, American breakout hit Kemah Bob, and top comic Ray Badran. All hosted by stand-up powerhouse and radio star Kiri Pritchard-Mclean.

Sunday Mid - 4:45pm

Sunday Mid is the domain of Taskmaster champion & Megabus Man lookalike Dara O’Briain – known for his charismatic and intelligent performances, as well as his work hosting Mock the Week and multiple science shows with Brian Cox, he’ll be a powerful topper to this excellent bill.

Alongside Dara is “superstar in the making” (British Comedy Guide) Stephen Bailey, fast-rising Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Dan Tiernan, award-winning star Laura Smyth (known for Live at the Apollo and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order), the rabble-rousing Thanyia Moore as host.

Sunday Late - 6:30pm

Headlining on the Sunday Late slot is the cult favourite and alternative comedy GOAT, Stewart Lee. Stewart Lee is definitely the right choice for an explosive finale at the Comedy Garden, Stewart Lee. Stewart Lee.

Joining Stewart Lee is powerhouse of silly energy and Taskmaster champion Lou Sanders, Edinburgh Comedy Award 2023 best newcomer nominee Louise Young and host of Viceland and Taskmaster breakout star Jamali Maddix, - hosted by the fantastic Felicity Ward.
