Bristol’s creative community joins forces once again in search of new musical talent

NEXT LEVEL sees Big Team and Bristol Beacon combine their knowledge of Bristol’s music and live events landscape with support from Team Love, Pirate Studios and SWU.fm.

 

This specially curated programme is aimed at singers, rappers, vocalists and MCs based in Bristol and aged between 18 and 30. Run in partnership with some of the local industry’s top names, the search is on to find five of the next big names in music.

With limited spaces on the programme, five successful applicants will engage in a week-long programme to develop their craft. This will include one one-on-one mentoring sessions with established producers and vocalists at Pirate Studios with previous mentors including Bristol staples Eva Lazarus, Res One, Sam Interface, Dread MC, Fiyahdred, and N.Y.T.A.

 

After that, successful applicants will participate in workshops to develop their understanding of the music industry, hosted by the likes of design studio HeyWhat and independent event production company Team Love. This will be followed by a public showcase and performance at Bristol Beacon in front of a live audience and industry professionals.

 

If that isn’t exciting enough, the programme will then culminate with a show at this year’s Love Saves The Day Festival at Ashton Court, followed by festival bookings throughout the summer. The project is designed to springboard grassroots artist’s careers and place them into professional situations, thus developing their confidence and performance skills.

 

Aimed specifically at up-and-coming artists, applicants must submit their details – including social media handles, examples of their work and live performances – through the application form. With industry support from top Bristol artist and partners' guidance, this programme will take five young artist’s music careers to the NEXT LEVEL.
