Another full cast has been announced for a smash hit musical coming to Bristol

Producers have now announced the full roster of performers for the UK and Ireland tour of the iconic musical, Grease – hitting stages all over the country from April.

 

Grease: The Musical runs at The Bristol Hippodrome from Monday 16 until Saturday 21 September 2024.

 

Enjoyed by more than 500,000 theatre-goers in the West End, Grease is now Dominion Theatre’s most successful summer show since We Will Rock You. The Musical has also received four WhatsOnStage Award nominations for Best Musical Revival, Best Choreography and more – you do not want to miss this!

Grease first opened in Chicago in 1971, before moving to Broadway in 1972 where it received various Tony Award nominations. During its eight-year run at the time, future legends including Peter Gallagher, Patrick Swayze and John Travolta appeared before it transferred to the West End with Richard Gere playing Danny Zuko.

 

The 1978 film adaptation starring Travolta and Olivia Newton-John is one of the most popular live-action musicals of all time, featuring classic songs from the stage show including ‘Summer Nights’, ‘Grease Lightnin’’, ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’ and ‘You’re The One That I Want’.

 

This year’s UK tour will feature Marley Fenton (Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends) as Danny, Hope Dawe (Mountview graduate) as Sandy, Rebecca Stenhouse (Legally Blonde) as Rizzo, George Michaelides (Disney’s Newsies) as Kenickie and Kieran Lynch (The Adventures of Peter Pan) as Doody, Lewis Day (Beauty and the Beast) as Roger.

 

There will also be roles for Sario Solomon (Pacific Overtures,) as Sonny, Alicia Belgarde (Bugsy Malone) as Frenchy, Emerald B (National Lottery New Years Eve Bash) as Jan, India Chadwick (P.S I’m A Terrible Person) as Marty and Jayd’n Tyrone (Grease) as Eugene to name but a few!

 

In addition to Bristol, the 2024 tour of Grease: The Musical is all set for runs in Bromley, Dublin, Hull, Northampton, Ipswich, Liverpool, Norwich, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bradford, Milton Keynes, Eastbourne, Blackpool, Nottingham, Cardiff, Oxford, Manchester, Southampton, Sheffield and more.
