Bristol Beacon launches 24 hour flash sale on 24 upcoming shows!

Bristolian fans of music, film, comedy and dance will be able to take advantage of discounted tickets for everything from big names in Beacon Hall to emerging artists in the cellars.

 

The 24-hour flash sale on certain Bristol Beacon shows begins at 10 AM on Thursday 25 January 2024.

 

With the days short and plenty of reasons to stay indoors, Bristol Beacon are offering a little push with 20% off a selected list of amazing shows featuring the likes of This Is The Kit, Harry Hill, Simple Things Festival and more. Read on for our rundown of the events included in the offer.

The first show included in the sale is the award-winning Transatlantic collective the ollam on Monday 29 January. This will be followed by actor and musician duo Michael & Michelle in the Lantern Hall on Friday 2 February and Kate Stables’ Ivor Novello nominated project This Is The Kit on Saturday 3 February.

 

Bringing a fresh take on traditional African music to Beacon Hall on Tuesday 6 February is Fatoumata Diawara, while trad music event Transatlantic Sessions and hotly tipped South London artist Love Remain will play on Thursday 8 and Saturday 10 February respectively. Grammy nominee Manu Delago hits Lantern Hall on Sunday 11 February.

 

 

Saturday 17 February sees the Slapstick Festival takeover Bristol Beacon’s Lantern Hall with three comedy events included in the Flash Sale. Tim Vine’s absurd comedy horror, Fearmouth, will be screened at 11 AM, Harry Hill’s The Last Caveman at 5.45 PM and the weird and wonderful cinematic masterpiece Phantom of The Paradise at 9.45 PM.

 

The Flash Sale also sees discounted tickets available for this year’s Simple Things festival on Saturday 24 February with the likes of CASISDEAD, Giant Swan, Wu-Lu, Max Cooper, Les Savy Fav, Flowdan, Gazelle Twin and more all playing across multiple stages.

 

Appearing at Beacon Hall in March is electronic composer Hania Rani on Saturday 9 March, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra with Mark Wigglesworth on Thursday 21 March and London African Gospel Choir on Thursday 28 March.

 

 

Also in March, the likes of sing-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mutual Benefit (Thursday 14); award-winning duo Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman (Wednesday 20); folk trio Mike McGoldrick, John Doyle and John McCusker (Friday 22); and the Mercury-nominated Sam Lee (Wednesday 27) will play across Beacon’s other spaces.

 

The Flash Sale also includes jazz, hip hop and afrobeat-influenced group Nubiyan Twist on Saturday 1 June; Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, Tuesday 6 – Sunday 11 August; and theatrical phenomenon Blue Man Group, Wednesday 16 – Sunday 20 October.

 

 

Other shows on sale taking place at The Lantern are singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich, electrifying rapper Akua Naru on Monday 22 April, and Americana veterans The Handsome Family on Monday 20 May.
