The smash hit, multi-award-winning West End musical sensation is landing at The Bristol Hippodrome for a month as part of its massive 2024 UK and Ireland tour.

 

Wicked runs at The Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday 23 January to Sunday 25 February 2024.

Wicked is the twelfth longest-running production in the history of the West End and shows no sign of letting up with its run at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre. Based on the novel by George Maguire, the smash hit musical tells the previously untold tale behind the Witches of Oz.

 

The play reimagines the backstory of much-loved characters of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, focusing on the unlikely kinship between two of the original book’s central characters, ‘Glinda The Good’ and the ‘Wicked Witch of the West’.

 

With a songbook that features musical theatre classics such as ‘Popular’, ‘Defying Gravity’ and ‘For Good’ written by multi-Oscar and Grammy Award winner Stephen Schwartz (Disney’s Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Enchanted), it’s clear why the musical has won so many major awards.

 

This “blockbuster stage show” features an immense touring cast, orchestra and crew of 82 creatives and has previously dropped by The Bristol Hippodrome twice, selling out both runs and being seen by over 140,000 theatre lovers.
