Jamie Lawson is playing Bristol in April as part of his upcoming tour

The Ivor Novello award-winning singer-songwriter’s Bristol appearance will come as part of an 8-date tour including shows across the UK and Germany.

 

Jamie Lawson will play Bristol’s The Louisiana on Thursday 18 April 2024.

 

This 2024 tour follows on from a recent run of live dates – his first tour in over four years – celebrating his sixth album, Little Weaknesses, which chronicles his early experience of fatherhood with newfound creative energy. This short tour will see Lawson perform his most personal music to date as well as fan favourites such as ‘Wasn’t Expecting That’.

Little Weaknesses is Jamie Lawson’s return to music after a four-year break, time away that instilled within him a desire to re-wire his creative process after a period packed with immense career highs including performing at Wembley Stadium and Croke Park as well as touring with the likes of Ed Sheeran and James Blunt.

 

Fatherhood brought a new sense of direction, meaning that any music that forced him to leave his family to play, perform or promote needed to fulfil him completely. The new record is 14 tracks of concise, emotive, painterly beauty and features various collaborations.

 

Speaking about his new run of dates, Lawson has said: “Having not done a headline tour in four years I have to admit I was a little anxious and nervous as to how it would feel being back out on the road. Fortunately for me it couldn’t have gone better. The audiences were, as ever, kind and lovely and welcomed me back with open arms.

 

“Which makes it much easier to decide to do it all over again in the new year! I can’t wait to sing again in the new year! I can’t wait to get out and sing again in London, Nottingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Sunderland, as well as a return to Germany.

 

“Bristol has always been very kind to me as has London and Nottingham. I don’t think I’ve ever done a headline show in either Liverpool or Sunderland, so that’ll be new and exciting too.”
