Not long left to experience a special Christmas day out at Longleat

Posted on: 21 Dec 2023

The magical Festival of Light event is back at Longleat this year featuring more life-size lanterns than ever before, an iconic Christmas tree show and a beautiful winter safari.

Longleat’s Festival of Light runs at the adventure park until Sunday 7 January 2024.

This special festive experience is complete with new, show-stopping scenes from C.S. Lewis’ beloved children’s books The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in addition to classic installations from Cinderella, Peter Pan, Winnie The Pooh, The Wizard of Oz and more.

Book your tickets to visit Longleat now, HERE.

As well as showstopping illuminated likenesses of characters from C.S. Lewis’ classic novel (including the mighty lion Aslan and the bewitching antagonist White Witch), Longleat’s festive programme is chocker full of other events and activities – not least a spectacular light show illuminating Longleat House’s historic façade.

If that’s not enough, the UK’s biggest singing Christmas tree is also once again gracing Longleat with its presence, an event that will also feature lights, carols and event flurries of snow. Visitors to the park can also embark on a trip to the North Pole with Longleat’s Santa Train.

Those looking to shelter from the cold can view a festive bird show dubbed ‘The Flight Before Christmas’ at 3 PM, 4 PM, 5 PM and 6 PM in the Longhouse. Keep your ears pricked and your eyes peeled as a parliament of owls begins to stir.

Another activity hidden away from the cold is the guided tour of the beautiful Longleat House. Dressed up, especially for Christmas, the historic stately home will be filled with traditional decorations and a plethora of Christmas trees, including a 6-metre-tall showstopper in the Great Hall.

Longleat’s Festival of Light runs at the adventure park until Sunday 7 January 2024 – book your entry HERE.
