"...a perfect way to celebrate the festive season with your family and friends."

Peter Pan is a timeless tale of adventure, friendship and magic, and this year’s pantomime at the Bristol Hippodrome brings it to life with a stellar cast, dazzling effects and plenty of laughs.

David Suchet, best known for his portrayal of Hercule Poirot (how may not be far away!), proves that he can play a villain just as well as a detective, as he commands the stage as the fearsome Captain Hook. He is matched by the hilarious Andy Ford as his loyal sidekick Smee, who delivers some of the funniest lines and interacts with the audience throughout the show.

Ceri Dupree provides plenty of laughs (and “fabulous” costume changes) as Mrs Smee including a hilarious impression of a rock superstar. Faye Tozer, of Steps fame, adds a touch of glamour and sparkle as the Magical Mermaid, who helps Peter and his friends escape from Hook’s clutches.

The title role of Peter Pan is played by Hugo Rolland, who flies across the stage with ease and charm, while Molly Farmer is a sweet and sensible Wendy, and Carly Joan Furlong is a feisty and playful Tink.

The show is packed with spectacular scenes, such as the flight to Neverland, the battle on the pirate ship, and the energetic shipwreck scene. The costumes are colourful and creative, especially for the Lost Boys, the Indians and the pirates.

The sets are impressive and immersive, creating a sense of wonder and excitement. The music is catchy and upbeat, featuring some original songs as well as some familiar tunes from Steps and other pop hits. The choreography is energetic and well-executed, with some impressive acrobatic moves and dance routines.

Peter Pan is a pantomime that will appeal to all ages, as it combines humour, romance, action and fantasy. It is a perfect way to celebrate the festive season with your family and friends and join in the fun of this classic story. You will laugh, cheer, boo and sing along, and maybe even enjoy a dance at the end.

Peter Pan runs at The Bristol Hippodrome until Sunday 31 December 2023. Secure your tickets HERE.
