The likes of headliners Snapped Ankles, post-punk sextet DEADLETTER, beloved Bristol duo Getdown Services, queer punk band The Menstrual Cramps, art pop four-piece cowboyy and hyper pop producer/vocalist Tlya X An - all of whom featured on the original line-up – already had next year’s Outer Town shaping up to be pretty exciting.

Now, with more than 20 acts added to the roster, the 2024 edition is likely to be the best edition yet. Bristol noise punks Heavy Lungs recently released their eagerly anticipated debut album, All Gas No Brakes, to critical acclaim and backed it up with a UK tour of their blistering live show – their Outer Town performance is sure to prove a sweaty one!

Joining them towards the top of the bill are much-loved London quartet Flamingods, whose recently released album Head of Pomegranate – their first since 2019’s Levitation – usures in a new synth and drum machine-focused era, produced by Grammy Award winner Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, M.I.A., Deerhunter).

Other exciting names on this latest wave include energetic Cardiff outfit Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, innovative alt-rockers Ugly, orchestral cult rock band Flip Top Head, experimental Bristol producer t l k, and explosive DIY punk and perennial Bristol favourites Milo’s Planes. The full lineup can be browsed on Outer Town’s socials.

Outer Town Festival runs all day across Trinity Centre, Exchange, Old Market Assembly, Glitch, Elmers Arms, Ill Repute, Glitch and Moor Beer on Saturday 13 April 2024. Grab your tickets HERE.
