Posted on: 24 Jan 2019

Enjoy an evening of blues and jazz delivered by one of the genre's finest exponents - Becki Biggins - who will perform with her quartet as part of Bristol's Future Inn's ongoing series of jazz gigs on Thursday 31st January 2019.

Jazz at Future Inns Bristol

The Grammy-nominated jazz singer, songwriter and saxophonist has taken her love of blues, jazz and gospel music and teamed up with Hammond legend John-Paul Gard to create a musical catalogue of old and new tunes written and made huge hits by the likes of Glen Campbell, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra and Evil. There will also be a casual smattering of fresh, effortlessly cool originals by the night's leading lady.

Becki's certainly carved out a name for herself on the jazz scene. She's co-written three Jazz Chart number one US albums, and her own material gives a keen insight into her talent, humour and unique view of the world.  Also backed by the super-talented Andy Tween on drums and Ben Waghorn on woodwind, the gig will be the first time they've performed their new material to a Bristol audience.

Cool jazz stylings kick off at 8.30pm. Tickets cost £10 on the door, £5 for students, and you can find find out more about upcoming Future Inns jazz gigs and book tickets for Becki Biggins Quartet here.
