Avatar and Special Guests at Anson Rooms on Saturday 19th January 2019

Swedish heavy metal outfit Avatar will be rocking the rafters of Bristol's Anson Rooms for what's sure to be another relentless, blistering display of musicianship on Saturday 19th January 2019.

How do you describe a band like Avatar? Well, how about in their own words: "Avatar means a God in disguise. Nothing but greatness is accepted. With the blunt force that is metal music Avatar has set out to claim their kingdom; Earth."

World domination, then; or an unforgettable one-night Bristol takeover, at any rate.  And with their most recent album, Avatar Country, released last year, the band's currently riding the crest of a heavy metal wave. Expect hits like Let It Burn, Hail the Apocalypse and Queen of Blades to shake the venue's very foundations.

Fusing extreme riffs doused with experimentation and melody, intense double bass drumming, slow grooves and storytelling of colossal proportions, chances are you'll be able to hear their raucous, ear-shredding performance from the Anson Rooms to St Anne's.

Due to the nature of the set, the show is for aged 14+ and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost £19.50 General Admission, £17.50  for students, and you can get your hands on yours here.

Anson Rooms is located at Richmond Building, Bristol, BS8 1LN.  Tel. 0117 331 8600
