On November 13th, The Galleries shopping centre took part in Purple Tuesday – dubbed as the UK’s accessible shopping day. Established to raise awareness of the challenges faced by those with disability in retail environments, the day aimed to uncover accessibility issues present in customer-facing businesses, and encouraged improvements to shopping experience.

The Galleries Bristol – one of the centre’s most iconic shopping spaces – took part in the event, inviting all staff to stand in solidarity with the cause with purple sashes and ties. To accompany their lavender attire, The Galleries was decorated in eye-catching purple balloon arches.
