Posted on: 14 Sep 2018

Due to huge demand, this summer’s fantastic Blood, Blackbeard and Buccaneers Walking Tours have been extended for more dates: a further chance to learn some life-changing information about this infamous, Bristol-born pirate 300 years on from his death.

In these exclusive walking tours of Bristol docks, new information from Jamaica about Blackbeard will be revealed as walkers visit some iconic dockside hostelries along the way.

Blackbeard Walking Tours in Bristol

It’s believed that Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard, was born in Bristol in the 1680s. Though there are no records to prove this for sure, new information from Jamaica supports this hunch, and even fills in some of the missing details of his life.

The findings are incredible; it’s now thought that Blackbeard spread a fake identity to terrorize his enemies into early surrender! But you’ll have to join one of the recently added tours to find out more, of course.

Walking tours will start at The Golden Guinea in Redcliffe and end close to The Centre. Walks last around two and a half hours, and will visit dockside hostelries and landmarks along the way. Advanced booking required!

Added dates include:

15th September, at 3 pm

19th September, at 7 pm

22nd September, at 3 pm

29th September, at 3 pm
