Bristol Bumble Clothes Swap at the Full Moon Bar on Thursday 19th July 2018

The need for a new wardrobe combined the desire to be thrifty will result in the Bumble Clothes Swap, which will give folk the chance to trade their attire when it takes place at Full Moon Bar in Bristol on Thursday 19th July 2018.

With the current heatwave, most of us have no doubt been rummaging around our wardrobes trying to find the best clobber for the stifling temperatures. This, then, is the perfect solution to the problem of wanting to get your mitts on some new clothes whilst keeping the financial expenditure to a minimum.

Basically, the way it works is that you bring 5 clothing items you're prepared to trade, pop them on the pile, have a gander at potential other garments, try before you buy, then pick your final five items. After you've selected your favourite swapped clothes, you can then mingle with the rest of the crowd, have a drink and a boogie to the selection of top tunes being spun by the resident DJ.

From an environmental point of view, textiles make up around 3% of the average household bin in the UK, with one of the solutions being glaringly obvious: if you recycle or reuse them you're cutting down on unnecessary waste, doing your bit to save the planet and, of course, getting your hands on some great pre-loved clothes.

Bumble Clothes Swap takes place between 6pm and 8pm and you can find out more online here.

The Full Moon Bar is located at Stokes Croft, Bristol, BS1 3PR.  Tel.  0117 924 5007
