Truth Out Cinema in Stokes Croft, Bristol, are to screen ‘Deir Yassin Massacre’ - a film documenting the events which took place in Palestinian village Deir Yassin in April 1948.

The film will be shown on Tuesday the 10th April from 6pm and will be followed by discussion surrounding other massacres that took place during the ethnic cleansing of Palestine as well as more recent events in Gaza and what can be learned from the successes of the anti-Apartheid movement.

The Deir Yassin Massacre was responsible for the deaths of over 100 Palestinians, and was a key event in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Despite occurring 70 years ago, the massacre remains wholly relevant considering the ongoing political and military unrest in the Middle East.
