Editors added to 2018 Bristol Skyline Series lineup with October live show
Posted on: 08 Mar 2018Acclaimed British indie outfit Editors are the latest act to be added to the already-impressive Bristol Skyline Series lineup, with a programme of outdoor concerts set to take place throughout the second half of 2018. Joining Editors on the lineup are The The, Future Islands, UB40 and more, with a full lineup still to be announced. Tickets for Editors live at St. Philip's Gate in Bristol go on sale at 9am on Friday 9th March, and can be found via the link below.
Celebrating the release of Violence, their sixth studio album due for release on Friday 9th March, Editors have announced a UK & Ireland tour, kicking off in October. Starting with a show in Southampton, the band are scheduled to play 14 shows, with the tour culminating in a show at the O2 Academy Brixton in London.
Having formed in 2002, Editors found notoriety in the mid 2000s with their Mercury Prize-nominated debut album The Back Room. The album featured hit tracks Munich and Blood, and the band went from strength to strength from there. Their follow-up album, An End Has A Start, went to Number 1 in the UK Albums Chart in 2007 and earned Editors a BRIT Award nomination for Best British Band. Their third album, In This Light And On This Evening, also went straight to Number 1 in the Albums Chart in 2009.
This year's release is the first studio album put out by Editors since 2015, and the band are set to play a number of festivals in the UK this summer before getting back onto the live circuit in October. As part of the Bristol Skyline Series, they join and already-stellar lineup of artists due to play intimate outdoor concerts at St. Philip's Gate over the course of the second half of 2018.
