Love Saves the Day Bristol announce biggest ever Drum N’ Bass line up plus more acts

Posted on: 01 Mar 2018

Hot on the heels of Love Save The Day’s big line-up release just weeks ago, the festival which takes place on May 26th and 27th at Eastville Park in Bristol, has revealed yet another wave of acts. The line-up includes rising star Mabel and some epic drum ‘n bass heads featuring Andy C, Camo & Crooked, the DnB supergroup SASASAS, High Contrast and Dimension. SASASAS will ramp things up to 11 on the Centre Stage on Sunday, with a high-octane show bringing five of DnB’s biggest MCs and DJs together - Harry Shotta, Skibadee, and Shabba D - backed up by Phantasy and Macky Gee working the decks.

The festival’s brand-new Centre Stage will explode into Eastville Park this year with tech house favourites Jackmaster taking over the stage on Saturday and Bristol’s DnB tastemakers, Run, taking over proceedings on Sunday.

Joining Jackmaster on Saturday are Aussie wunderkind Mall Grab, whose low-fi jams have made him the poster boy of the emerging hazy house scene; prodigal Glaswegian producer Denis Sulta who smashed into the RA Top 100 Poll at #26 in 2016 and Detroit Swindle – the Dutch duo whose take on Detroit deep house has earned praise from Laurent Garnier and Eats Everything.

Now in its fifth year, Love Saves The Day’s ‘line-up to beat all line-ups’ is certainly taking shape with Fatboy Slim, Sampha, David Rodigan and the Outlook Orchestra, Bicep, Loyle Carner, My Nu Leng, Four Tet and Nightmares on Wax already announced.

Rounding off what is undoubtedly Love Saves The Day’s best DnB line-up yet are Need For Mirrors & Bailey – co-founders and residents of Soul In Motion, London’s biggest DnB night; the legendary Lenzman with MC D.R.S and Children of Zeus; E-Z Rollers celebrating 20 years of their pioneering album Weekend World and Bristol’s own legendary junglist Dazee.

In other big news from Team Love, the infamous Just Jack  collective will host a Caravan Club party at the festival. This brand new hidden area will provide an intimate setting for DJ sets from the likes of Bradley Zero – part of the original Boiler Room team and label boss of Rhythm Section International - and the original tropical cyberpunk, Manchester’s Ruf Dug.

In The Lost Gardens, Horse Meat Disco will host on Saturday with Artwork taking over the show on Sunday. HMD have added Eric Duncan - aka Dr. Dunks of Rub n Tug fame – to their Saturday line-up with Artwork bolstering his line-up with the addition of Sweden’s Axel Boman and NTS Radio’s Moxie.

Keep an eye out for plenty more surprises to come from Team Love including the announcement of Just Jack’s Saturday line-up!
