GEORGIE releases brand-new EP ahead of Jake Bugg support gigs in February and March 2018

Mansfield troubadour GEORGIE has released an all-new EP this month, ahead of upcoming shows supporting acclaimed singer-songwriter Jake Bugg throughout February and March 2018. The pair are set to arrive in Bristol this weekend, ahead of Jake Bugg's Colston Hall show on Saturday 24th.

GEORGIE will support Jake Bugg at his Colston Hall show on Saturday 24th February

The new EP, titled Too Much TV, was released last week and highlights her rich, powerful vocals and accomplished songwriting. Alongside the EP are new single Be The Fire and live favourite Wildcat. The 2018 tour marks the second time GEORGIE has supported Jake Bugg, following her support slots on his 2017 Autumn tour.

Before getting involved with music, GEORGIE had forged a promising career in professional football, but the sudden discovery of a guitar and her uncle's record collection drew her towards the arts. She quickly mastered her craft in her bedroom, blagging her way into pubs to play open mic nights, where her soulful voice and honest, reflective lyrics earned her local notoriety.

After one pub crowd demanded a fourth set from her in a single evening, GEORGIE and those around her knew she had something worth chasing, and it wasn't too long before her talent and relentless graft paid off, with local hero Jake Bugg taking her with him on an intimate UK tour.

Since then, GEORGIE has gone on to support Blossoms and Jack Savoretti among others, and was flown out to the US to record her debut single with Matthew E White in Virginia.

Tickets for Jake Bugg supported by GEORGIE at Bristol's Colston Hall on Saturday 24th February have unfortunately sold out. However, there is a chance that some tickets could be made available, so to follow ticket updates, check out the Colston Hall Facebook page.
