The Damned to play live at Bristol's O2 Academy on Saturday 10th February 2018

Beloved British rockers The Damned are set to perform at Bristol's O2 Academy in February as part of a 17-date UK tour kicking off in Newcastle at the end of the month. Tickets for the Bristol show on Saturday 10th February start at £26 and can be found here.

The Damned will kick off their 2018 tour with a show in Newcastle on 26th January and end it with two shows in London.

After a successful 40th-anniversary run and a captivating performance at the 2017 British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park, the Goth punk pioneers are set to embark on the Evil Spirits tour, taking place to coincide with the upcoming release of a new LP under the same name. Due for release on 13th April, the project will be the band's eleventh full-length release.

Having formed in 1976, The Damned quickly made a name for themselves as they became the first British punk band to release a single, the first to release an album (1977's Damned Damned Damned), and the first to tour the United States.

The Damned influenced future hardcore punk bands with their fast-paced, energetic playing style and attitude. Along with the Sex Pistols and the Clash, they helped to spearhead the punk movement in the United Kingdom. They are sometimes referred to as British punk's "band of firsts," having made accomplishments mentioned previously, as well as other "firsts" like the first punk band to break up and make a comeback.

Tickets for The Damned at Bristol's O2 Academy on Saturday 10th February are on sale now and can be found here. For more information or to follow tour updates, visit the band's official website or check out their Facebook page.
