Burns Night 2018 Celebrations in Bristol

Burns Night is only a couple of days away, but if you’ve not yet sorted where you’re going, don’t worry! Here is our round-up of Burns Nights events in Bristol for 2018. 

The Swan at Almondsbury

Bristol Harbour Hotel, Jetty Restaurant

Visit The Jetty for a night of delicious Burns inspired dishes complete with a piper to set the scene. The menu is £35 for four courses including traditional and alternative options. You can add a matching whisky flight for just £19.95 per person. See their website for more details.

 

The Pony and Trap

Burns Night Tasting Menu. You can expect haggis, neeps and tatties but ‘with a Pony & Trap Twist’. Tickets are £60 per person, with an optional whisky flight at £25, and wine flight at £30. See their website to book, or call 01275 332 627

 

Spoke & Stringer

One of the best venues on the harbourside re-opens it's evenings on Burns night with a special Set Menu and complimentary whiskey tasting. Booking is ecommended which you can do here.

 

The Three Tuns  

The Three Tuns are offering “live bagpipes, prose, haggis neeps and tatties and Scottish booze on the bar.” Entry is free, but the team recommend that you book as it is likely to be very busy. To book a table, call 0117 3294310 or see the event page here.
 

Hyde & Co 

Hyde & Co are partnering with Glenmorangie whisky for Burns Night. You will taste a variety of whiskies guided by Max Helm and his team. Tickets are £25 and include a whisky cocktail on arrival, a tutored tasting of the Glenmorangie range and some light nibbles, courtesy of The Ox restaurant (veggie options will be available). Visit their website to book.

The Canteen

Fancy a night of “ripsnorting traditional folk dance”? Then the Burns night Ceilidh at The Canteen is right up your street. There will be music from Fitty Gomash, with a special menu available. See their website for more details. 

 

Loch Fyne

Loch Fyne are putting on a special menu for Burns Night. It features the traditional haggis, but also some none-haggis options for those a little less brave. The menu is 3 Courses for £25.95 per person which includes a dram of Laphroaig 10-year-old. See their website for more details and to book.
 

Browns

Browns have a special Burns Night menu with three courses from £24.95 or three courses and whisky pairing from £34.95. See their website for more details. 

 

The Bank Tavern

The Bank Tavern are hosting one of their “Adventurous Eats Experiences” on Burns Night. We don’t have any more details but the food at The Bank Tavern is always incredible. How adventurous are you feeling? See their website for details. 

 

Hotel du Vin

Hotel du Vin are hosting a whisky tasting and Burns Night Supper. Tickets are £65 per person, including a tutored Scottish whiskey tasting with 3 whiskies from various Scottish regions, followed by a special Scottish themed three course Burn's Night supper of cullen skink, haggis, neaps & tatties and cranachan. All accompanied by half a bottle of wine and traditional address to the haggis. Milk Thistle

Milk Thistle will be hosting a a special one off Whisky dinner in partnership with Glen Grant in their decadent private dining room, The Attic. For £55 you will have a night of traditional Scottish food, cooked by the chefs from The Ox Bristol, matched with a specially created Whisky cocktail flight and tastings of several exceptional whiskies. Bonus Burns Night; If you’re busy on Burns Night but still want to celebrate, on Saturday 3rd February 2018, you can enjoy an evening of candlelit Scottish delights with a Bristol Burns Night Supper in support of local refugee charity Aid Box Community. There will be a piper’s welcome and drink, a three-course vegetarian Burn’s Supper and a dram of malt whisky supplied by the amazing Kate’s Kitchen Arnos Vale, readings from some of Rabbie’s best loved, and finally some traditional Scottish Reels from the wonderful The Ship Band. Tickets are £40 per person.
