Ricky Gervais to perform at Bristol's Colston Hall on Wednesday 10th January 2018

Writer and star of hit shows The Office, Extras and Derek, Ricky Gervais has carved a reputation over the years as a jack-of-all-trades, conquering TV, film, stand-up comedy and even releasing music under his David Brent persona. His latest foray into stand-up comes in the form of the Humanity Tour - a worldwide journey that sees him touch down in New York, Los Angeles, Stockholm, Dublin and, most importantly, Bristol.

Ricky Gervais brings his Humanity show to Bristol in January

 

Gervais has earned critical acclaim around the world during his career, entertaining audiences with his hit TV shows, appearances in film and stand-up shows. Humanity is his fifth stand-up tour, preceded by the hugely successful Animals (2003), Politics (2004), Fame (2007) and Science (2010). The Bristol leg of the Humanity tour marks the last show on English soil before heading back into Europe and America.

 

He has won an array of awards for his work, including three Golden Globes, two Emmy awards, seven BAFTAs, and the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy BAFTA/LA in 2016. His exploits have also earned adoration in America as well as the UK, as he was picked to host the Golden Globe awards in 2016.

 

Rated four stars by The Guardian as "his best show yet", and also by The Telegraph who describe the show as "his most cohesive and heart-on-sleeve show yet", you don't want to miss the opportunity to watch one of the world's most successful and influential comics.
