Bristol welcome UK Armed Forces to Ashton Gate Stadium for charity rugby match

A Bristol United team made up of players from local rugby sides will go up against the UK Armed Forces in a charity invitational on Wednesday 8th November. Kicking off at 7.45pm at Ashton Gate Stadium, the fixture has been organised in support of the Royal British Legion. 

 

The UK Armed Forces come to Ashton Gate Stadium to face a Bristol United team made up of local players from a number of rugby teams in the region

 

Tickets for the unique event are priced at  £6 for adults and just £2 for under-12s, with hospitality packages available from £35. You can buy tickets through Bristol Rugby here.

 

Mark Tainton, Chief Operating Officer at Bristol Rugby, expressed his pride at getting the chance to support the armed forces with a community event. "This fixture promises to be a fantastic occasion, which we're delighted to host at Ashton Gate" he said.

 

As well as the charity fixture on the 8th, Bristol Rugby will also be observing Armistice Day on at Ashton Gate Stadium on 11th November as they welcome Rotherham Titans. "As well as the traditional service at the Memorial Ground gates – in which players and staff will attend - we will also be marking Armistice Day on November 11th when we host Rotherham" said Tainton.
