New Colston Hall gigs for 2017 and 2018 announced

Colston Hall is Bristol's most iconic music venue, that is host to a number of incredible shows throughout the year. Here's a list of up and coming shows that tickets go on sale for on Friday 13th October 2017.

 

Murlo AV Friday 24th November 2017

The electronic titan of the British millennial generation will be gracing the stage of The Lantern for his exclusive Murlo AV show on Friday 24th November. A producer that makes his own artwork, Murlo is a man of much talent.  His sounds are that of R&B futurism, instrumental grime, UKG, and bashment, not to mention his visuals are equally as progressive. Expect a show that is just as rich in sound as it is sight.

Funk Yeah! New Year’s Eve Party Sunday 31st December 2017 - GET TICKETS HERE

Tickets are on sale now for what is sure to be another New Years Eve sell-out event at The Colston Colston Hall. Funk and Soul legend Craig Charles, will be delivering an unmissable DJ set that will be the biggest, funkiest NYE party in the city. Expect retro grooves galore, with big boogie numbers goin’ down till dawn. Reggae Train are on in the Old Ticket Office and Soultrain DJs will be spinning the hottest disco classics, over in the foyer. Also eagerly anticipated are the James Taylor Quartet who are masters of the acid jazz funk sound.

All the way from Nashville; The Mavericks come to Colston Hall in February of next year. The Grammy-award winning band are back with a new album and are celebrating 20 years since the release of ‘Trampoline’. Their unique sound is a bit of a country rock/ Latin party mashup, so best believe the band will bring the ultimate shindig to Colston Hall, with an evening of new tracks and old classics.

Bryan Ferry 25th April 2018 - GET TICKETS HERE

Pop icon and Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry returns to Colston Hall stage in April of next year. He will be performing classic hits from his solo and Roxy Music back catalogue, as well as tracks from the highly-acclaimed album ‘Avonmore’. Ferry has released many a hit, both in the UK and the US and has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. His musical prestige making him one of the best in the business. Expect an evening of elegant tones and stylish instrumental accompaniments.

A Folk fiasco; following the release of his second, critically-acclaimed studio album ‘Afterglow’, Jon Boden and his band return to Colston hall with a new, rock flavoured sound. Jon Boden is one of British Folk’s most influential music heads. A 12-time BBC Folk Award winner, he is a master of the fiddle and a diverse, unique composer and singer. Expect a lively show full of banjo, guitars, fiddles, harmonium, concertina and more!

This one’s for the comedy fans! Canadian stand-up comedian, Craig Campbell is coming to The Lantern in May of next year. The globe-trotting funnyman specialises in loud, observed storytelling. A familiar face from TV (Russell Howard’s Good News, Michael McIntyre Comedy Roadshow and more), his show is set to be a rollercoaster of humorous musings and contemplation.

Marti Pellow Thursday on 31st May 2018 - GET TICKETS HERE

One of the UK’s best loved musicians, Marti Pellow is coming to Colston Hall in May of next year. The Wet Wet Wet frontman and singer behind smash hit classic ‘Love Is All Around’ matches stunning vocals with a soulful feel. His performance at Colston Hall celebrates the singer’s thirty years in the industry. He will perform all of his wonderful hits from his platinum-selling albums.
