Head to Arnos Vale Cemetery for Romeo and Juliet on 19th - 23rd July

Shakespeare’s tale of two star-crossed lovers comes alive in the unique setting of Arnos Vale. As an archaeologist guides you through the historic ruins of Verona, he shares the tale of the beautiful love story surrounding the statue of the famous beauty, Juliet. Suddenly the statue breathes with life, along with all the people in the tale.

Hate versus love, death versus life. Shakespeare’s enduring story remains as powerful as it was 400 years ago, and will remain so long into the future….. will we learn its lessons?

Times for the shows are as follows:

Wednesday to Friday: 6.30pm and 8.15pm
Saturday: 4.00pm, 6.30pm and 8.15pm
Sunday: 2.00pm, 3.45pm and 6.30pm

Tickets are £14 - £16 and you be advised this performance is promenade and will include walking around the venue. Due to the nature of the event, the ground will be uneven and audience members will be required to stand and walk for approximately 80 minutes. Sturdy shoes are required.

We ask audiences not to bring seats with them, however, should you need to for access reasons, or have any other access queries, please contact Butterfly’s Producer, Kate McStraw, via kate@butterflytheatre.com. We advise getting your ticket ASAP to avoid disappointment.

45 acres of beautiful views offer the perfect respite from the general hustle and bustle of the city, and the site is significant as being a place of heritage that features many monuments of local and global importance as well as historic listed buildings.
