Posted on: 19 Jun 2017

Over 30 degrees is expected...bring on the sunshine! The weekend was a scorcher and this week the mercury will continue to rise. The sweltering heat will run long into the nights so it's going to be a tough old time before temperatures cool to around 20 degrees by the weekend. Get out and enjoy Bristol!

Monday 19th June - Pig Out Mondays at The Gloucester Old Spot

What a scorcher! After a tough night's sleep for many thanks to the heat, the morning greeted us with blue skies and no sign of anything other than another cracking day. Temperatures will pass 30 degrees.

Tuesday 20th June - Thoroughly Modern Millie at The Bristol Hippodrome from 20 to 24 June

20-25 degrees overnight make for another duvet-less sleep. Bright blue skies will greet Bristol before temperatures again climb up to 30. Here's where things might get interesting - several sources are predicting a short thunderstorm in the early afternoon. If it does occur it will be short lived so if you'll be out and about between 1pm and 4pm then it's worth checking the short-term forecast before you leave.

Wednesday 21st June - Express Lunch at Grillstock every Monday to Thursday

Warm overnight yet again and more of the same as the temperature will flirt with 30 degrees for the third day this week.

Thursday 22nd June - Hansel & Gretel at The Alma Tavern Theatre from 19-23 June

Thursday is where we could see the end of the heatwave. 'Only' 22 degrees are predicted and some cloud-cover will ease the fierceness of previous days' sunshine.

Friday 23rd June - Cream Tea Cruise aboard The Matthew of Bristol

Far more cloud cover will mean temperatures of 20 degrees and broken cloud. If the forecast is correct then this should definitely spell the end of the heatwave and a return to a still very pleasant summer.

Saturday 24th June - Cruise the River Avon to Beese's Bar and Tea Rooms

Plenty of sunshine and 20 degrees mean we can get out and about to enjoy the weekend in style.

Sunday 25th June - Recommended Bristol Sunday Roasts

Another great day of 18-20 degrees and sunny spells. What a great day to walk off a big Sunday lunch at one of Bristol's Best Dog Walks!
