The weather forecast looks good for Bristol this weekend so why not take a trip along the river to either Beese's or The Old Lock and Weir thanks to Number Seven Boat Trips. Amazing venues and a beautifully unique way of reaching them.

Beese's Riverside Bar

Beese's Riverside Bar

Situated beside a deeply-running river Avon below a steep wooded bank, Beese’s is a haven of tranquillity where generations of city dwellers have put the cares of the city behind them. An idyllic setting for an afternoon tea, a few drinks, a light bite or a full meal. Spend an hour cruising up the river, two hours at Beese’s and then another hour back down to the centre again. Here's the timetable for the river cruise.

Boats leave from the Cascade Steps - on the waterfront next to 'The Fountains' - at 12pm and 2pm every Saturday from April 15th until September 30th. From there you'll spend an hour cruising up the picturesque river before you enjoy 2 or 4 hours at the beautiful Beese's, then another leisurely hour as you return to the city centre. Prices are £8 for a single (child/concession £5.60) or £14 return (child/concession £8.50).

As these trips take place on Sundays you will be treated to a stunning Sunday Roast in the excellent surroundings. A relaxing drink, a superb meal and a leisurely cruise will make for a really special Sunday, ideal for a celebration with a difference or simply a great day out.

The trip departs from the Cascade Steps in the City Centre at 11am and aims to return by 3pm every Sunday from April 16th until September 24th. Prices for return tickets are £14 for adults, £8.50 for under 16s and over 60s while under 5s travel free of charge.
