Bristol Rugby vs Gloucester - Ashton Gate
In something of a South West derby, Bristol Rugby host Gloucester under the Friday night lights at Ashton Gate. The hosts, still rooted to the foot of the Aviva Premiership, have it all to do survive this season - a win tonight against their noisy neighbours is crucial. Kick off is at 7.45pm.

Blossoms / Cabbage - O2 Academy
Blossoms and Cabbage share little more than a penchant for vegetation (on which their respective names are based) and the stage which they will both take to at The O2 Academy. The former are clean-cut indie poppers, who shoot straight enough that your mum wouldn’t turn them off, while their support are feral enough to have entitled their debut LP Young, Dumb and Full of… Charming.

Lubaina Himid tour - Spike Island
Lubaina Himid’s installation Navigation Charts, the latest exhibition to take over the Spike Island gallery space, has seen unrivalled success over its two-month run. Before the exhibit closes on the 26th, join a tour through the artwork, led by Dr Elizabeth Robles.

Denis Sulta - Marble Factory

Stepping forth from the same Glaswegian house scene that produced Optimo and Jackmaster, Denis Sulta has fast gained a reputation for being one of the brightest young things in the business at present, and was recognised as such by both Mixmag and Resident Advisor in their polls at the end of last year. The producer, with a peroxide mop to rival Trainspotting’s Sick Boy, has been consistently on the road at the beginning of this year and will check into the Marble Factory, alongside Maurice Fulton and Brassica, as the guest of Dropout Disco.

Funny Girl - Hippodrome
Epworth’s golden girl Sheridan Smith returns to the stage on which she first made her name, following a series of successful onscreen turns, to star as Barbara Streisand, the titular Funny Girl. Catch the last night of its run at The Hippodrome on Saturday evening.
