Bristol is hooked on Catch 22's Fish & Chips

Posted on: 20 Feb 2017

Whether it's the perfectly crisp batter, the flaky fish, the fluffy chips or simply a combo of all three, we're hooked on Bristol's Catch 22. This is not merely a greasy takeaway, it's a fine seafood restaurant that has truly earned the respect of food writers and the general Bristol public alike.

Like the vast majority of the British public, Bristol residents love their fish and chips. There were already plenty of great dining options available but when Catch 22 opened up its doors on College Green it quickly swam to the top at took its 'plaice' (sorry) alongside Bristol's very best. It gained a full 5 stars in 365's recent review.

There's both a takeaway and a very well appointed restaurant. The menus are packed with everything you would expect from a fish and chip shop, but there's plenty more on offer too. It would take far too long to talk about the mussels, prawns, calamari, Pieminister pies and even more here so head to the menu section of their website to find out more.

There's also a lunchtime deal: get yourself a cod and chips with mushy peas, gravy, curry sauce or beans for just £4.95! Other options include: sausage, calamari, cod goujons and sausage bap. For a little more you can get practically anything on the menu and, even when adding the normally up to £4 extras, you’ll never pay more than £9.95. Amazing value for food of this quality.
